Camp Information

Our Play & Craft camp at Urmston Primary School has been running since October 2020 and is an add-on to the term-time wraparound care service we provide at the school. The camp runs alongside our Sports Camp that has been open at the setting since 2018.

Our team has developed wonderful connections with many children and parents, which is evident in the fantastic feedback we so often receive. Whether you live in Urmston or surrounding areas, we would love your child to come and enjoy our fun-filled activity days.

Summer Theme Weeks

Monday 26th July – Friday 30th July

This summer we are running a Mini-Olympic theme week at both our holiday camp venues.  Activities will include Olympic torch making, mascot designs, Olympic ring biscuit decorating, laurel wreath creation, make a medal, plus much more. Each day will also be themed around a different country competing in the Olympic Games.

Manchester on the Mediterranean

Monday 9th – Friday 13th August

With the recent news that trips abroad are unlikely to happen this summer, we have decided to bring the Mediterranean vibe to our holiday camp at Urmston Primary School. Expect themed games, amazing decorations, and much more.

Adventure in America

Monday 16th August – Friday 20th August

Towards the end of our Summer camps this year, we are running an Adventure in America theme week at both our holiday camp locations.

Activities include flag designs, doughnut decorating, Native American crafts, themed prizes, plus much more.

“I had a great first impression. The staff were really organised and friendly, and there was a welcoming vibe as children arrived.”

Play Camp Leader
Katy Ferguson

“Hi, my name is Katy and I am the Play Camp leader here at Urmston Primary School. I am a qualified nursery nurse and have 15 years of experience caring for children ranging from 0-6 years of age.

I have worked in various roles within the childcare sector, including nursery management, which has given me the skills to provide a consistently safe and nurturing environment for your children.

I started my role with the company in September 2020, and although conditions have been challenging, I have loved every minute of it. The club atmosphere always leaves me with a smile on my face and a positive feeling for the rest of the day.

Whether you are an existing parent or you are new to the School of Play family, we look forward to welcoming your children into our nurturing holiday camp environment.

If you have any queries about our setting, don’t hesitate to contact me directly using the link below.”

Alongside our play camp at Urmston Primary School, we offer a sports camp for children between the ages of 5 – 11 years old. Children will take part in a wide range of fun and engaging sporting activities such as Dodgeball, Football, Hockey, Rounders, Cricket, Lacrosse, and more.
