Your Pupils Could Have a Brilliant School Holiday.
Government Funding Makes It Possible.
We run fully funded HAF holiday camps from schools like yours. Free for eligible children. No operational burden on your team. We handle everything.
The school holidays are 13 weeks long.
For many families in your school, that stretch is genuinely hard.
Not because they are not doing everything they can for their children, but because quality holiday provision is expensive and the alternatives are thin on the ground.
The HAF programme exists to change that. Free places, a hot meal every day, a proper programme of activities, for every child on your roll who qualifies for benefit-related free school meals.
The question most schools face is not whether they want to provide it, it is how. Running funded holiday provision in-house is a significant undertaking, and it tends to fall on one or two people who end up giving up their own summers to make it work.
That is where we come in.
Are Our Pupils Eligible?
The primary qualifying criterion is straightforward. If a child receives benefits-related free school meals, they qualify for a fully funded HAF place.
The number of funded places your school could unlock usually depends on a few things:
> How many children on your roll receive benefit-related free school meals.
> How many disadvantaged children of primary school age live in the local area.
> The quality of the provision being proposed by the provider.
For a large school in an area of high deprivation, that can mean 80 or more funded places per day.
For a smaller school with a tighter eligible group, it might be 20 funded places per day.
There is one more thing worth knowing. DFE guidance allows up to 15% of places at any HAF camp to be offered to children who don’t receive benefits-related free school meals.
Where your school has additional families who want access to quality holiday provision but don’t qualify for the funding, we can also operate a parent-paid provision alongside this.
Email us with “Send [school name] HAF numbers” and within 24 hours we’ll send you one page with three figures on it:
1) Roughly how many children on your roll qualify.
2) How many funded places we think it could unlock across the year.
3) What we would pay you for the use of your building.
The Holiday Activities and Food programme: what eligible children receive
A fully funded place, no charge to families whatsoever.
A nutritious hot meal every day they attend.
A full programme of sport, creative play and outdoor activities.
A safe, structured & enjoyable environment across the holidays.
Families just turn up. The place is free, the meal is hot, and the day is full of fun.
Ofsted called our inclusion
"exceptional"
We would not say that ourselves. But Ofsted did.
When Ofsted examined how we serve the children who are hardest to reach (the children the HAF provision exists for) at our Branwood Camp in February 2026, and our Templemoor Camp in August 2026, they graded both as exceptional.
That is an independent judgement from the people whose job it is to make exactly that assessment.
It means the children on your roll who qualify for HAF will be looked after by a team that has been independently verified to serve them well.
What one school's year looked like
Button Lane Primary was a new HAF partner in 2026. Their Business Manager had tried running the HAF programme themselves a few years earlier. It did not go well.
The admin, the staffing, the operational burden, it was too much. When the programme ended, they decided it was not something they wanted to take on again.
1,444
funded camp places for the pupils who needed them most
A venue hire cheque for the school after every HAF week.
DBS-checked staff on site every day, with a named DSL throughout.
Continuing in 2027.
What we take off your plate, completely
Running funded holiday provision in-house is a significant undertaking. The staffing. The safeguarding documentation. The funding reporting requirements. The meal provision.
Most schools that try it find it falls on one or two people who end up giving up their own holidays to make it work.
We take all of it away.
Your staff do not run the camp. Your budget does not fund it. Your school opens its doors, and the children who need it most get a school holiday that is safe, active, nourishing and fun.
Your school earns rental income, even though the camp is free to families
The government funding covers the operation, and because we use your site, your school earns rental income on top of that.
If we are accepted and funded for 30 – 39 children per day, your school earns £75 per day.
For 41 – 60 children per day, your school earns £96 per day in rental income, and for 61 – 80 children per day, that rises to £149 per day.
Across 24 days of HAF camp, that is between £1,800 and £3,456 in rental income for your school, from space that would otherwise sit empty.
£75 per day
(Up to 40 places)
£97 per day
(41 – 60 places)
£149 per day
(61 – 80 places)
But here are the numbers that matters most across the year.
40 children per day = 960 funded days of activity
60 children per day = 1,440 funded days of activity
80 children per day = 1,920 funded days of activity
That is what this programme actually is. Not a revenue stream with a social benefit attached. A genuine intervention for the children who need it, with rental income for your school as a result.
On safeguarding, because we know it's the first question
Every responsible head teacher and business manager asks it. They should.
Every member of our team is DBS checked and trained internally before they set foot on your site. Our safeguarding lead holds a current Level 3 qualification.
We operate under a written safeguarding policy, and we will share it with you before you make any decision. No commitment required.
Your school and the community it serves
A HAF camp on your site is a statement about what your school stands for.
It says that when the school gates close for Easter, Summer & Christmas, your commitment to your pupils and their families does not.
It says that the children who most need support will find it here. It says that your school is genuinely part of the community it serves, not just during term time, but all year round.
That matters to governors. It matters to Ofsted. And it matters to the families who trust you with their children.
The deadline and what happens next
Our HAF funding submissions go to the council in November – January (depending on the council).
To include your school in that submission, we need a pre-contract agreement in place before then, and that means we need to hear from you by December at the latest for your school to be considered for the upcoming year.
If you would like your school to be considered for 2027 HAF provision, the next step is a short conversation.
We will tell you honestly whether we think the partnership would work, and if we do not think it would, we will say so.
Contact us by early December, and we will send your school’s HAF Venue Details within 24 hours.
