45

We currently have 45 spaces per day available before and after school. 20 spaces are reserved for nursery and reception children joining the school every September. We currently only accept children who attend Urmston Primary School into our wraparound care.

Breakfast Club – 7.15am – 9am

We want to start the day off right; we provide a healthy breakfast and some light activities to prepare your child for the day ahead. Our team will then supervise the children to their classrooms in time for registration. The staggered start times due to the COVID-19 pandemic have been taken into account by our team.

After School Club – 3.15pm – 6pm

Our staff will collect all the children from their classrooms at the end of the school day. Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children will be taken to our main HUB (music room), whilst children in Year 2 – 6 will be taken to the junior sports hall. Children will be kept in separate bubbles within each room bubble during the session.

Children will have several different activities to choose from. They can play sport, get creative, participate in role-play, chill out in the reading area, complete any homework they may have, and much more. At 4 pm, your child will be given a light snack to keep them going until tea time. Children attending an after school sports club delivered by another provider will be given a snack when they arrive from the session. The staggered finishing times due to the COVID-19 pandemic have been taken into account by our team.

Tapestry

Tapestry builds an extraordinary record of a child’s experiences, development and learning journey through their early years and primary education. Using photos, videos and diary entries, our staff, along with parents, ‘weaves’ the child’s story and how they are growing and developing. The Tapestry platform then works seamlessly to enable these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each child’s unique journey. All information held in the platform is stored securely and can be downloaded and shared as required. Parents can view their child’s progress online and how much fun they’re having, whilst also uploading their own comments and media.

We have introduced this service for no extra cost, if you wish to set up an account for your child, please email our setting manager and she will be happy to get you started katy@schoolofplay.org.uk

If you already have a Tapestry account set up with us, you can log in here.

COVID-19 update

In line with government guidelines, we will follow all the safety measures set out for out-of-school club settings. We will be doing everything we can to prevent the spread of the virus within our setting, whilst still maintaining a level of fun and normality for the children.

It’s important to remember that if your child experiences any symptoms, please do not bring them into the club and inform us as soon as possible. Should a child test positive, every other student and staff member within their bubble will likely need to self-isolate for 14 days. If this is to happen a credit note will be added to your account for cancelled sessions, no direct refunds will be given.

Bubbles

Bubble 1: Nursery, Reception and Year 1

Rooms: Main Hub, Library, Playground

Bubble 2: Year 2 – 6

Rooms: Junior Sports Hall, ICT Suite, Playground

Children will be kept in bubbles of no more than 15 children, and they will be kept in bubbles within their room bubble.

To see all the safety measures we have in place, please visit our COVID update page – https://www.schoolofplay.org.uk/covid-update/

When collecting from our after school club, please ring the School of Play doorbell at the Main Junior Office located on the right-hand side. There will be no written signing out process; our staff will use our electronic register to sign your child out.
